Can lithium iron phosphate batteries be used with reduced capacity



       Due to the high rate discharge characteristics of lithium iron phosphate batteries, they can be used for capacity reduction in many situations.

       (1) For DC power systems, due to their model characteristics, the capacity of the battery is generally specified, and it takes 10 hours to charge and discharge, which is not suitable for capacity reduction.

(2) For large capacity, short latency UPS and EPS, capacity reduction can be used. Simply put, due to the fact that lead-acid batteries can only discharge at 0.1C, a high-capacity battery must be configured for high current discharge. And lithium iron phosphate batteries can discharge continuously at 3C, which can reduce battery capacity while meeting delay conditions.

(3) Compared to lead-acid batteries, lithium iron phosphate batteries can perform deep discharge, and from this perspective, they can also be used with appropriate capacity reduction.
